Enero Group Announces FY24 Full Year Results, Led by Strong Growth in Australian Agencies BMF and Orchard


Enero Group, a global leader in marketing services, has reported its annual results for the full year ending 30 June 2024, with the Group’s net profit increasing by 7% on a like-for-like basis, despite the challenging macroeconomic environment.

Throughout FY24, Enero’s Australian-based agencies, BMF and Orchard, consistently demonstrated their strength and ability to thrive in the competitive healthcare and consumer industries, achieving double-digit revenue growth.

Enero’s results continue to build on its track record of profitability and portfolio transformation, with the Group driving significant revenue growth of 40% over the last four years.

The Group’s Technology, Healthcare, and Consumer (THC) Practice, which includes the Hotwire Group, (in addition to Orchard and BMF), continued to see difficult trading conditions worldwide, reflecting the ongoing uncertainty in the global technology sector, as expected.

Impressively, Enero saw significant growth across key metrics for the THC Practice, with 66% of the Group’s revenue now coming from clients who have relationships with more than one THC brand or country, up from 47% in FY23. Meanwhile, OBMedia delivered a strong Q4 despite a weaker ad-tech market and Enero’s strategic review process.

Enero’s full-year results saw the Group’s revenue decrease by 6% on a like-for-like basis to $189.7 million. These results reflect the strong performance of the Australian business which was offset by difficulties in the global technology and ad-tech markets. Enero’s earnings per share grew by 8% on a like-for-like basis.

Globally, the Hotwire Group continues to be at the forefront of tech marketing and artificial intelligence. In May, Hotwire launched its global AI innovation team and first proprietary AI tool, GAIO.tech, offering insights into brand reputation, influence and AI chatbot recommendations. GAIO.tech is the first in a series of AI technology and consulting solutions Hotwire will introduce to help global brands integrate AI into their marketing and communications strategies.

Throughout FY24, the Hotwire Group, BMF and Orchard made strategic growth hires and were recognised around the world for their work in the industry.

BMF was recognised for its behaviour change, creativity and effectiveness, taking home the Mumbrella Award for Data-Driven Marketing, Spikes Asia’s Award for Creative Effectiveness and Creative Strategy, as well as being the most shortlisted agency at the Australian Effie Awards. In addition, BMF had an outstanding new business year, winning a roster of world-class brands including Endeavour Group (which includes BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Pinnacle Wines and more), Alinta Energy, Department of Health and more. This new business run saw the creative agency launch five national behaviour change campaigns, including the first ever anti-vaping campaign.

Orchard partnered with leading medical technology distributer LifeHealthcare to launch a new personalised user experience for surgical healthcare professionals; was shortlisted for Mumbrella’s Specialist Agency of the Year Award; and took home a PMEA award for Excellence in Engagement through Integrated Channels with GSK.

Meanwhile, Hotwire established a Global Advisory Board to further strengthen the agency’s strategic advisory services, appointing technology heavyweight David Rowan, founding editor-in-chief of WIRED UK, as its first member. In addition, the global PR and integrated communications Group took home the Ragan PR Daily Award for Top Places to Work in Communications, and has been investing for growth with key strategic hires including Frank van de Koppel as Strategy Creative Director and Natalia Sandin as Senior Vice President of Consumer Technology.
